What this policy covers
This policy describes how Retirement Roadmap Experts handles information collected through https://www.retirementroadmapexperts.com. It does not cover information you give us during an engagement, which is governed by the agreements and disclosures you receive at that point.
What we collect
- Information you give us. Your name and email address when you download a resource, and anything else you type into a form or send us by email.
- Usage information. When analytics is on, Google Analytics 4 records pages viewed, approximate location derived from your IP address, device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site, and Vercel Web Analytics counts page views without cookies.
- Technical information. Our host records server logs, including IP addresses, as part of delivering the site securely.
We do not ask for financial account numbers, Social Security numbers or other sensitive personal information through this website, and you should not send them to us by email.
Why we use it
To send you the resource you asked for, to answer you when you get in touch, to understand which pages people find useful, and to keep the site working and secure. We do not sell your information, and we do not rent or trade it.
Who else is involved
A small number of service providers process data on our behalf: Vercel hosts the site, Resend delivers email from our forms, Google provides analytics and the appointment calendar embedded on the scheduling page, and YouTube serves video when you press play on one.
The Color of Money Risk Analysis linked from our Risk Analysis page is hosted by a third party on their own domain. Anything you enter there is handled under their privacy policy, not this one.
ScoreApp hosts the Retirement Ready Scorecard, which loads on its own page of this site. The name, email and answers you enter there go to ScoreApp and to us, and ScoreApp handles them under its own privacy policy.
Cookies and tracking
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and California, analytics stays off until you accept it. Elsewhere it is on by default and you can turn it off at any time. It stays off wherever your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal.
The site sets two cookies of its own. One records your choice for 180 days, and one records for 12 hours which of those rules applies where you are. Google Analytics sets its cookies only when analytics is on, and turning analytics off deletes them.
The scheduling page embeds Google’s appointment calendar, which may set Google cookies and run Google’s reCAPTCHA once it loads. On a video page the preview image comes from YouTube’s image server, and YouTube itself loads only when you press play. The Retirement Ready Scorecard page loads ScoreApp’s quiz as soon as it opens, and the quiz may set cookies from ScoreApp, security cookies from Cloudflare and hCaptcha, and cookies from YouTube.
Use the Cookie Settings link at the foot of any page to change your choice. Most browsers also let you refuse or delete cookies in their settings.
How long we keep it
Form submissions arrive as email and are kept as long as the inquiry is live and for a reasonable period afterward. Analytics data is retained according to the default Google Analytics retention setting.
Your choices
Ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, and we will do so where the law allows. Email rboeck@retirementroadmapexperts.com. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under state privacy law.
Children
This site is intended for adults and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it.
